Product Overview

The Mindego Analyzer 4600 (MA-4600) is a comprehensive software tool for analyzing stored MPEG-4 media data. With the analyzer you can open MPEG-4 files and/or raw MPEG-4 and AVC video elementary streams (VES) and comprehensively view their contents. The analyzer presents an orderly and interactive view of the contents of the file and individual streams, performs a variety of syntactic and semantic checks for standards compliance, and provides controls to examine video coding values at the macroblock and motion vector levels. The MA-4600 operates on the Windows platform

The MA-4600 is designed for use by MPEG-4 professionals —those with experience as well as those in the early stages of their learning curve. Its purpose is to help media processing engineers and technicians verify the conformity of their coders, troubleshoot problems, and pinpoint areas for improvement and optimization. Furthermore, its intended to help decoder developers, testers, systems integrators, and service technicians discover and analyze potential problems with source media streams.

The MA-4600 enables quick and simple navigation through the various elements of the file. A hierarchical tree view displays the objects contained in an MP4 file. Clicking on an object allows you to examine the object in detail. For video streams a picture timeline display provides a visual reference and fast random seeking of video objects from any location in the stream. Drilling down deeper, users can examine the structure of each picture in a step-through fashion, observing value readings for macroblock type, motion vector coding, quantizer distribution, and other variables.

The Mindego Analyzer 4600 is an essential component in the tool kit of any organization involved in the development or assembly of MPEG-4 and AVC/H.264 products and systems. From time to time, Mindego will introduce updated versions of the application, extending its utility, range and functionality.
